THE BIRTH OF AMEDEI
Amedei's journey begins in a small artisan workshop in search of excellence. A path built step by step through study, passion, rediscovery of ancient processing methods.
An adventure that goes as far as the distant places of origin of cocoa where Amedei found the finest plantations and seeds in the world, establishing full control over the entire production chain.
1998
TOSCANO BLACK 70, THE FIRST BAR
The raw material, originally selected by Amedei, arrives directly in Tuscany, a land of creativity and genius, to be transformed into small works of art by skilfully dosing and working a few selected ingredients by hand.
Thus was born the very first creation signed by Amedei, the Toscano Black 70, a perfectly balanced 70% extra dark blend with a unique aromatic profile veined by hints of tobacco, toasted malt and cedar wood.
2008
TOSCANO BLACK 63, THE FIRST GOLDEN BEAN AWARD
Amedei wins the first Golden Bean Award with Toscano Black 63 at the Academy of Chocolate in London, one of the most qualified international institutions in the world of chocolate.
Over the years, the same Academy has awarded Amedei chocolates with the highest number of Golden Bean Awards ever given.
2012
BLANCO DE CRIOLLO, THE VINTAGE CHOCOLATE
A profound confidence combined with the creative genius in experimenting with innovative methods lead Amedei to launch Blanco de Criollo on the market. It takes its name from the seed used to make it, Piura Gran Blanco, a genetic quality grown in the northern Peru.
Thus was born a vintage chocolate where the search for the wildest and most aromatic cocoa is combined with the love of those who know how to tame it and turn it into a chocolate for true connoisseurs. This became our Third Golden Bean Award Winner.
2018
ACERO95, THE INNOVATIVE BLEND
In the laboratory, the tradition of careful manual work is combined with innovation. Amedei challenges his own philosophy and wisdom by creating a 95% dark chocolate with a strong and sweet taste.
The absolute innovation of this product lies in the replacement of cane sugar with maple sugar, a precious ingredient with a sweetly refined taste.
2019
TOSCANO LATTE, 8X GOLDEN TABLET
Amedei's Toscano Latte wins the “La Tavoletta D'oro” award as the best Italian milk chocolate at La Compagnia del Cioccolato.
The prestigious Tavoletta D'oro is the eighth recognition that Casa Amedei has won for the first of its milk chocolates.
